Stephen Poirier is an Attorney in the San Diego office of Collinsworth, Specht, Calkins & Giampaoli. He is a pragmatic litigator whose practice focuses on construction and commercial litigation, including defending business owners, general contractors, developers, subcontractors, architects and engineers in construction and commercial litigation.

Mr. Poirier earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law. While in law school, he served as Vice-President of the Entertainment/Sports Law Society. Mr. Poirier’s final semester was spent serving as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Justice James A. McIntyre at the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One.

Mr. Poirier obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, where he majored in Pre-Law, with a minor in Agricultural Business. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California and the United States District Court, Southern District of California. In his free time, he enjoys trading options in the equity markets, trading the foreign exchange, golfing, and hiking the trails of San Diego County with his family.
